The week that all the anticipation has led up to: Research Showcase. This year’s ISM research showcase was a dramatic difference in comparison to last year.
To start, as the research showcase approached, I found myself to be much more confident that I was last year. I was just as nervous, of course, but I was much more confident in my ability to stand in front of strangers and sharing my ISM journey. I was extremely excited for the Research Showcase, and I am proud of how successful it was.
My mentor, Mrs. Tammy Meinershagen, was extremely pleased with my performance at the Research Showcase. She informed me that I seemed very confident and natural when sharing my journey and my growth from ISM I to where I am now, and I was very proud of how she had reacted. I was extremely honored to have had her attend this event, and it was great to get to show off all that I am accomplishing through ISM II.
With Research Showcase wrapped up, the ball is still rolling. Our Original Work due date is approaching quickly, and I have much more work to do in regards to final details and final edits on my “cheat sheet” for creative advertising. Alongside my Original Work, the next week consists of my Original Work assessment, a regular mentor visit assessment, and much more ISM work in regards to mentor visits. I am extremely proud of a truly successful Research Showcase, but I definitely need to maintain this motivation to assure success in regards to the rest of my ISM journey.
